Our Legacy program allows our patients to record their treasured memories, life story or even words of wisdom for those that touched their lives. Our legacy volunteers are specially trained to speak with the patient about their life and learn their story to record in written form. Once the patient has determined they have provided what they wish, the volunteer works with our team to prepare a booklet that can be passed on to their family members. It is a blessing and many times has a surprise or two for the family! We are looking forward to sharing these stories with you!

A former patient’s wife, Mary Ann Hess said “It was very much appreciated, the work the volunteer did to write my husband’s legacy. When I get lonely, I take it out and read it.”
“Language allows us to reach out to people, to touch them with our innermost fears, hopes, disappointments, victories. To reach out to people we’ll never meet. It’s the greatest legacy you could ever leave your children or your loved ones: The history of how you felt.” -Simon Van Booy
